MHOC donated €3,500 from Sponsored Walk fundraising to Cystic Fibrosis Ireland. Emma, from CF Ireland, visited the school today to accept the cheque from our Student Council and tell us a little about how these funds will be spent. Some of it will go to research, as scientists try to find out ways to improve the quality of life for those with CF. Some will go towards grants to help people with CF in everyday activites. Some will go to special boxes with information for families whose babies have been recently diagnosed and some will go towards ensuring that young people who are moving from care in a children's hospital to an adult hospital will have all the information and support they need.
